Seventeen-year-old Westlin Beck is dreading this last summer before her senior year. Her best friend is away at camp, her boyfriend is working from dawn until dusk, and her dad is more distant than ever.
But everything changes when the Hart twins move into town. Silas, so good-looking and a budding poet, is friendly with everyone but West, while Laurel, his mysterious sister, appears to be sick with an illness no one—and especially not Silas—will discuss.
Forced to team up with Silas in her summer car-cleaning business, West and Silas begin to forge a friendship—and maybe something more. But when West comes face-to-face with Laurel’s devastating secret, the summer changes into a rescue mission—one with unexpected results.

Cover reveal next month!! (It’s gorgeous!)
Hooray!
Woohooo!!!!!!! Congrats!
Bah. I want the cover reveal NOW so I can add it to my upcoming 15 books to read in 2015 post!
I guess I’ll just have to update the featured image in February 😛
Oh, you’re so sweet, friend! I wish the cover was out already too!
Publishing is such a waiting game. I think it’s good for us to be forced to be patient in the internet age.
Still…it’s sooooo hard
Gosh. Could not agree more. When my manuscript was out on submission, it felt like three years instead of just a month or so.
A month is a pretty short submission, too, isn’t it? I plan on writing another novel during submission so I’m not constantly on edge (and to give me a break before I need to do more edits on my debut). But I can’t even think about that right now. I just sent off my first batch of query letters. aaaaaaaaahhhh
Yes, I’m TERRIBLY lucky. It was quite short.
CONGRATS on querying! So exciting!!!
Definitely “reblogging” this, per say, to my blog because I’m so excited!!!!!! I realize the timeline for you has been WAYYY longer, but ever since I read Chapter One I feel like I’ve had an itch and have been waiting forevvvvverrrr 😉
Gosh, I’d forgotten that you read a chapter!!!
